The problem was clear: the offshore fishing industry had no reliable, modern way to collect and analyze trip data. Anglers were making decisions based on memory and gut feeling, leaving valuable patterns undiscovered.
As a lifelong fisherman from North Carolina, I experienced this gap firsthand. Every trip generated data—catches, conditions, locations, gear performance—but it all lived in scattered notebooks or fading memories.
While studying Finance at LSU, I taught myself to code with one goal: build the intelligence platform I wished existed. Rigline is the result—a system designed by someone who understands both the water and the power of data.
